A Letter from Josh & Ariel

Hi! Thank you for considering us for your child. We are hoping to adopt because we are unable to have children together biologically and we LOVE being parents. When we met, Ariel had a daughter, and now as a happy blended family of 3, we are excited to grow through adoption!

We are devoted, caring and fun-loving. We hope that we can get to know you, your dreams for your child, and work together for an open adoption. Some cornerstones for us are that we value education and providing our kids with opportunities to explore new skills and broaden their horizons. We prioritize financial stability that enables us to provide for our kids’ short term and long-term needs. In our family we are transparent, loving, supportive, and honest with each other. Our faith is very important to us and we are heavily involved in our church and community. We love people so our family and friends are the support system of unconditional love that enables our kids to thrive.

Life In General

We have been happily married for six years. Meeting at the theatre program in college, we’ve always shared a love for the arts and have a flare for good stories. Our home is full of singing, Josh playing guitar, and spontaneous goofy dancing. We enjoy a wide variety of family activities from swimming and biking to board games and Mario Kart. It’s also not uncommon to catch us each deep in the pages of a good book in the family room. We enjoy attending performances as well as sporting events. Together, we make even the routine parts of life fun through our friendship and mutual love of laughing. We are a true team.

Through everything we do, parenting our daughter has been the most fulfilling, fun, and meaningful experience that we have shared as a couple. Our daughter Felicity has dreamed of being a big sister and going to the park, swimming, or reading a book to her future siblings. Adoption will give us the opportunity to love another little person as they discover the world and who they are through every phase of life. Knowing that we will get to go on that journey with them as their parents is exciting. We look forward to quality time, snuggles, laughs, and making meaningful family memories.

Meet Josh

Josh is an empathetic, loyal, hard-working goofball. He has loved Felicity as his own from the moment they met. He is a present, invested, and encouraging father. Seeing the bond they share, I know he will do the same for any child we adopt. Josh is quick to listen and to solve problems, creating a safe and peaceful home environment. Our family is stronger every day because of his investment into each of us. He works as a Sales Manager at an online print and design company which has allowed him the flexibility to be able to be present for his family.

Josh loves spending time with his family, playing guitar and singing on the worship team at church, playing video games, and enjoying the outdoors hiking, playing sports, and adventuring at the park. He’s really looking forward to sharing his love of music and the outdoors with his future children as well as discovering their loves and interests as they grow up.

Meet Ariel

Ariel is thoughtful and compassionate. Her joyful nature lights up any room or group she finds herself in. She works as a children’s pastor at our local church where she cares for a large team of volunteers. Her favorite aspects of the job are interacting with families every week, collaborating with the team, and leading summer camps. When she has time to herself she enjoys dancing with a local dance company, being outdoors, and singing. She is an attentive and compassionate mother who is always ready to listen to the events of the day, to offer a shoulder to cry on, or to laugh at the new silly joke our family just can’t stop making. Ariel continuously and endlessly pours into our daughter. She will share that unyielding love and support for your child as well.

Ariel is an incredible team player and works to keep our family healthy, happy, and full of love, joy, and safety. She anchors our family in how she supports us every day. I know Ariel is looking forward to teaching her future child to be creative and discover their unique talents and interests.

Our Home in Colorado

Our home is an upgraded, two story, 3 bedroom town home in a family-centered community. There’s plenty of room for relaxing, playing, and creativity! We have a bedroom ready to become a nursery after we adopt. We are a short walk from a local coffee house where we like to get treats. There are parks nearby where we walk, play, picnic, and spend as much time as possible when the weather is nice. Our front patio is fenced-in and great for chalk art, blowing bubbles, and hanging out as a family.

Our yellow lab-hound mix, Punzie (short for Rapunzel), loves to be walked and chase the ducks into the pond at the park. We live very close to highly rated schools and many friends. The community even hosts events like movie nights, Trunk or Treat, and Fall Festivals for seasonal fun as a family.

Our Daughter and Family

Our family couldn’t be more excited that we are adopting!  Our daughter, Felicity, is especially ecstatic about being a big sister. Felicity is 11 years old, incredibly loving and caring, and gives the best hugs. She is very active and smart, and her favorite things to do are reading, playing with friends, and swimming. Felicity will be the kind of big sister who listens, takes her sibling on adventures, watches out for them, and knows how to make them laugh. She’s great with other children, of all ages!

The grandparents adore their grandchildren and their hearts are wide open to welcome more. We see our family regularly for birthday parties, day trips, craft nights, and even the occasional made-up holiday because we love to celebrate.

Our Promise

Trusting us to raise your child means that they will always have a committed support system so that they can pursue all that life has to offer. He or she will experience outdoor adventures, music, and a story before bed every night. We promise to love them unconditionally, teach them diligently, and enjoy discovering the unique person God created them to be.

We welcome a connection with you, as well! If you’d like, we’re open to the kind of contact you’re most comfortable sharing after the adoption. To learn more about us or set up a chat, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
What are your favorite holiday traditions?

Christmas: Sleeping under the Christmas tree
Fourth of July: Patriotic food competition
Sandwich Day (what is that!?): We love celebrating so much, we create our OWN holidays. Sandwich Day is the day we remember to celebrate the normal and simple things in life, like the day wedged right in the middle of our birthdays that we celebrate by eating sandwiches.

What does faith mean to you?

It's a lifestyle of following the example that Jesus sets. We trust God in all things by loving others, living generously, and being real. We attend church regularly as well as participate in various ministries and small groups at our church.

What is your favorite thing about your home?

Ariel's favorite place in the house is the living room because it's where we all snuggle up and play games. Josh's favorite place in the house is the family game room where we watch movies, play video games, or hang out and talk. We both love how calm and peaceful our home and neighborhood are, where we can just relax, sing at the top of our lungs, and laugh together.

Do you have any pets?

Yes! We have a golden lab hound mix who loves anyone and everyone. She's great with people, especially kids, and gives the best snuggles.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We heard an adoptee define adoption as "expanded belonging" and we've taken that to heart. Your child will always know their heritage and your love for them as well as be fully embraced as our son or daughter. They will have a community of people to uplift, support, and be with them through the ups and downs of growing up. Faith, health, and education will be consistent in their lives and they will know that they are wanted, chosen, and belong. We look forward to keeping in touch with you at your comfort level.
