A Letter from George & Elizabeth
Hi there! We’re George and Elizabeth.
We currently have three beautiful girls, and have strongly felt called to the adoption journey for quite some time. Elizabeth herself was adopted by her Dad when she was 4 years old, so we have been able to witness firsthand the beauty of adoption in our own lives. We are open to welcoming any child of any race into our home, from newborn to one year old.
George’s parents immigrated from West Africa (Cameroon), & they strongly believe “it takes a village” to raise a family. We have an incredible support system throughout both of our families, and it’s such a blessing to be able to come together and celebrate our cultures, diversity, & traditions! We promise that we will wholeheartedly love and provide this little boy or girl with a joyful, stable, and faith-filled life.
Family is everything to us. We are actually self-employed and run a photography business together. We chose to open our own business because it allows us the freedom to be home with our kiddos much more than a regular day job would. Thanks to running our own business, we never have to put our girls in daycare! It is such a blessing to be with them so often. We get to travel pretty often for our work, and it’s so much fun to be able to bring our kiddos along for the ride!
Our daughters are the sweetest little girls! Ages 5, 3, and 1, their days are filled with playing hide and seek, singing songs together, tickle fights, homeschooling, reading books, and praying together as a family. They already have grown such a nurturing love, and get so excited when they see a baby or even while playing with their dolls; lots of hugs and kisses are given! The girls pray with us every day for their future brother or sister, and they are so excited for another baby! They will be the most incredible big sisters!
We first met on an online dating site and spent the first part of our relationship long-distance. We had instant chemistry and knew we were supposed to be together for life, and were married in 2014. We love the outdoors, swing dancing, traveling, cooking together, & singing/beatboxing. Our Catholic faith has founded who we are today. We are extremely active in our church community and everyone around us truly believes that love is what makes a family!
Throughout our marriage, we have miscarried twice due to a condition that the doctor told us would be cured with significant weight loss. We made the commitment to get healthy for our future children, and together have lost a total of 300 pounds! Since our journey to better health, we have been blessed to have our three beautiful girls.
Several close friends of ours have gone through their own adoption journey, and through watching their stories unfold as well as Elizabeth’s own personal experience being adopted, we have gotten to see the joy and beauty that adoption brings. We prayed about it for several years, and strongly feel that God is calling us to open our hearts and home to another little boy or girl through adoption!
Elizabeth is an incredibly thoughtful, caring person who always thinks of others in the most positive of light. She’s very personable and is excellent at building genuine relationships with others. She is extremely dependable and very talented, and it blows me away that whatever she puts her mind to, she succeeds.
Elizabeth is very nurturing and loves playing music, taking pictures and singing – really, anything artsy! It’s such a gift that she has these artistic talents to be able to pass down and teach our children. She is the biggest blessing God has given me, both as my wife, best friend and the mother of my children. I am really looking forward to seeing her motherly love blossom even more and know that she is excited to share her love of artistic expression with our children.
George is my rock. He’s steady, genuine, honest, and humble. He consistently blows me away by his selflessness and his ability to put his family’s needs before his own.
George enjoys crossword puzzles, traveling, and trying new foods. Above all he loves football; especially the Arkansas Razorbacks. I hear “Wooooo Pig Sooie” in our home on a VERY regular basis- Haha! He’s a goofy guy, always doing something quirky to make me laugh. On a daily basis, he’ll break out into song, dance, or a funny accent. He has the ability to talk and get along with anyone and is an excellent father to our girls. He’s such an incredible role model, and man of God, and has so much to offer his children.
We live in our dream home, complete with 5 acres, a fenced in yard, a pool, and lots of room to play! We enjoy spending a lot of time in and around our home during the week, making it a fun and exciting environment for our children. We have 5 chickens and it’s some of the most fun to experience watching the girls get the chicken eggs from the coop! They have so much fun living on land.
On a weekly basis, we take our girls to the park up the street, play with chalk and bubbles on our driveway, and play tag in the yard. It’s so fun having the yard space to run and play with our children! We do a lot of activities around our house that are focused on teaching them while having fun at the same time!
We promise to provide your child with a loving home in a stable, faith-filled Catholic home. We believe in celebrating our diversity and will provide every opportunity to teach them that they can do anything they put their mind to, and that true love sees no color. We will always continue to pray for you, and will raise your child to do the same throughout their life. Most of all, we promise that your child will know they are loved unconditionally by us and our family!
We’re excited and open to keeping in contact with you at your comfort level through letters, emails, photographs, and annual visits.
